Pneumatic hoists. A pneumatic hoist, or a hoist powered by air, shares similarities with manual hoists. These chain hoist types also use a hook or geared trolley to lift their loads. To keep everything secure, they move slowly, making height adjustments as they go along. The good thing about this type of hoist is that it is good and stable so it doesn't need a lot of watching over as it does its job.
